Walter's recent projects span several areas of statistics and machine learning, including clinical prediction, anomaly detection, and reinforcement learning.

Walter also has software and machine learning engineering experience, having brought machine learning models, both large and small, to production in a health care setting. Walter received an Honours Bachelor of Science in Computational Biology & Neuroscience, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Statistics, both from the University of Toronto. In his free time, Walter enjoys gardening and cooking.
