Shuang joined CREATE as a data scientist in 2019.

Her research lies at the intersection of data science and health sciences, with a focus on the application of machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning methods in AI-enhanced healthcare delivery, including postoperative surveillance, virtual health coaching, and remote medication management.

Shuang obtained her M.Sc. degree in Statistics from the University of Toronto, and she is pursuing a doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, the University of Toronto.

Outside of work, Shuang spends most of her time gardening.
