Associate Scientist
Ashirbani Saha is an AI-practitioner with a special interest in healthcare AI methodologies and applications.
Presently, Ashirbani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology at McMaster University. She also serves as the inaugural BRIGHT Run Breast Cancer Learning Health System Chair. She is an Associate Member of the School of Biomedical Engineering at McMaster University and an Associate Scientist at CREATE.
Previously, Ashirbani trained as a postdoctoral researcher at Injury Prevention Research Office, Unity Health Toronto, Canada and Carl E. Ravin Advanced Imaging Laboratories, Duke University, USA. She holds a PhD from the University of Windsor, Canada. Ashirbani received her undergraduate education at the Indian Institute of Engineering, Science, and Technology, Shibpur, India in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and subsequently, served as a Consultant in PricewaterhouseCoopers, India.
In her current role, she aspires to improve the lives of patients with breast cancer through her work. She is passionate about developing AI-solutions that can assist clinicians in their work, improve patient care, and serve unmet healthcare needs.
During weekends, you may catch-up with her on one of the local trails if she is not building Lego sets, reading, watching movies, or cooking.
