Katie
Sonier

Katie Sonier joined CREATE in 2024 as a Project Manager.

She is passionate about supporting digital health projects throughout their life cycles to improve the delivery of patient care and drive healthcare transformation. Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour and a master’s degree in eHealth (Health Informatics) from McMaster University. She is currently involved in managing projects such as the development of a novel Hospital at Home platform, and Coronary computed tomographic angiography to optimize the Diagnostic yield of Invasive Angiography for low-risk patients screened with Artificial Intelligence (CarDIA-AI).

Prior to working at Hamilton Health Sciences, Katie spent the last 5 years working in the research, healthcare, and non-profit sectors. She has supported various projects which include securing funding for programs that support local youth experiencing homelessness and reducing the reliance on faxing in healthcare in Northern Ontario.

Outside of work, you’ll often find Katie reading or spending time with her dog, Violet.
